Intro to Pistol
Prerequisite: NONE | One Day | $50
This is an entry level course that focuses on teaching the student the operational characteristics of their firearms. Students will progress from basic handling and marksmanship skills to advanced shooting drills. This course focuses on techniques that will allow the student to develop skills that will increase their speed, accuracy, and confidence with a pistol in a tactical environment.
The following topics will be covered during the course:
Safety
Characteristics and accessories
Sight-in/zero procedures
Fundamentals
Ready positions
Reloads (admin, tactical and speed)
Shooting positions and transitioning to shooting positions
Multiple target engagement
Malfunction drills
Firing from barricades
Ammunition Requirements:
Minimum of 500 rounds
Gear List:
Pistol, minimum of three magazines, some type of magazine holders capable of holding alt least two magazines, belt, eye protection, ear protection, weapons cleaning kit.
Note: We recommend electronic noise canceling ear protection as it will allow you to hear the instructors clearly when they give commands or personal instruction while on the firing line actively shooting.
